Frequently asked questions

  • We listen to the audio itself. Our model was trained on thousands of labelled songs and scores each genre; we show the ones it's confident about, with how sure it is.
  • Many TikTok sounds are voiceovers, skits or ambient noise rather than songs. We tell you when a sound is mostly speech or not music at all.
  • Lots of songs mix styles, like Latin pop with reggaeton. We list up to three genres, most likely first.
  • Songs we've already analysed come back instantly. New ones are analysed overnight and we email you the result.
  • TikTok video links (tiktok.com/@user/video/… or vm.tiktok.com/…) and TikTok sound links (tiktok.com/music/…).
  • Songs we've already analysed count towards your 20 free runs a day; new songs count towards your 3 free lookups. Checking the same song again within a day doesn't count.
