Radar is built for Artists and Repertoire (A&R) teams, labels, artists, and other music teams looking for a sound before it becomes an obvious trend. It focuses on niche sounds at the earliest stage of gaining traction.
Radar and the trending charts
Think of a sound's daily video activity as a curve: it begins with an upload, gains traction, reaches a peak, and eventually declines.
Radar looks between the upload and the point where wider traction begins. The main trending-audio chart covers a later and broader part of that journey, from sounds approaching wider traction through sounds that have passed their peak.
Create a Radar
- Open Radar and choose New Radar.
- Choose the genre or scene you want to scout.
- Select the countries that matter to your search.
- Give the Radar a name and choose Create Radar.
Matching sounds begin appearing in the Radar after you create it. Return to Your Radars to see which sounds are gaining momentum across each scouting set.

Radar is available with Discovery access.
If a Radar has no matches yet
A new or tightly filtered Radar may take time to find a matching sound. Check the selected genres and countries, then return later as new activity appears. If one Radar remains empty while your other Radars show recent matches, contact support with the Radar name and its filters.
